Anna and the King of Siam (1st Thus)

  • $15.00

Anna and the King of Siam takes place during the time of the Civil War in America but on the other side of the world; Anna is a teacher for many of the King of Siam's children and concubines.  As as teacher she has many questions, but most notable are the questions about the man who rules over a kingdom where squalor and splendor, and cruelty and wisdom flourish side-by-side.

This classic book came about from years of research, and it gives a rare glimpse into the world of the Oriental court. Captivating all the more by the fact that it is a fictionalized story based on the diaries kept by Anna Leonowens.

It was been adapted to the stage, for television, and for film.

This is a beautiful first Thus pocket book copy that shows some wear that is in line with its age, but still in overall good shape.
